Pleasant Lake Highlands

About Pleasant Lake

You can learn about our lake, subdivision and immediate area in our own twenty-seven page booklet called “Our history and remembrances, commemorating Pleasant Lake Highland’s 75th Anniversary”. Our subdivision was platted in 1922 as a cottage community. We were able to collect photographs and stories about the “old days”.
We also found information about Pennell School. It was a one room school first formed in the 1830s and was built of logs. We have excerpts from a speech given in 1929 by John McCarroll, who was seventy eight at the time, recounting his days at Pennell School during the Civil War.

Call Gina and Rob Gregory at 661-5345 to purchase the booklet for $5.00.
